Head Chef Maria Lopez created the restaurant as a way for guests to learn about authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant's menu is crafted to showcase all aspects of the country's culinary culture, as well as showcase some of Lopez's own unique takes on classic dishes. There is an incredible selection of recipes available at Candela Taco Bar & Lounge, with over 20 different kinds listed, as well as a separate daily specials menu. Tacos are served a la carte and sorted by protein. The restaurant also carries an ever-changing collection of small-batch tequilas, which are then used to concoct specialty cocktails, aqua fresca or fresh fruit drinks.
